Standard shafts will not be strong enough.
The Factory ones are a stronger shaft and joints.

Elite will make you a set at a reasonable price that are stronger than the factory shafts. I still have the factory shafts but have snapped one in the past.

I have a spare set with 10,000 miles on 'em. They have slight wear (so Charles said) so I bought a new set from the Factory.

Anyone's for £200.

I have a pair that I will be selling soon as I am upgrading mine! My old ones are in perfect condition. Just thought I'd change them before I dump over 700lbs of torque though them. biggrin

Send me a mail if your interested!

I think you will find that the Elite shafts come without (sorry) the GKN ends. Factory shafts are fine but as with anything if you abuse them they will snap!

So are the Elite shafts better than the factory ones? If so why are they a lot cheaper?

Would be interested in a combined buy if anyone else is after a set...

Cheers,

And I think that you WILL find that the factory shafts are GKN made/supplied in any case, so the cost saving it would seem, is in the actual shaft.
