There's a broken down pale blue metallic Tuscan reg: OLA ### blocking one of our lanes. We need access today. I've tried 'phoning the number that was left and I get an O2 answerphone. The vehicle will be forcibly moved if still in place as of 4pm today. If you are the owner, or you know the owner, please email me through profile ASAP.

Get orf moi laand!

Steady on, Jaydee; a little magnanimity in the face of this grotty little upstart might not go a miss...

Have you never had a Tuscan give up the ghost at th'estate's gatehouse before? We get the blasted things dropping like flies; real nuisance, to be sure.

Chin up old boy, worse things happen at sea, what?

If no one claims it by 5pm, I'll have it! (and put a decent V8 in it as well)

Surprised mum hasn't got a load of servants to lift the bugger and place it upside down in the nearest field, JayD.

They don't weigh much!

We don't actually have servants Greg

Contractor has cost £1700 for two days wasted time owing to lack of access. As it's now raining the job can't be completed this evening now either. The PNC check earlier today didn't reveal the current owner and the dealer the vehicle was recently sold by couldn't find records of the sale (FFS...) This is probably the largest resource of TVR owners on the web, so it seemed worth a try to see if anyone knew the car before we were forced to have it towed. Once plod turn up the car will be removed to a place of safety, but it is likely to be necessary to force entry and, after it is moved, storage costs will be incurred. I'm sure the owner would like to avoid this if at all possible, as would I, hence this thread.

I can't believe anyone would have left it without calling for assistance, don't the warranties still come with Green Flag assistance included?

Isn't there any way you can claim against them for your lost cash?

Mum's profile
This was the re-write after she'd calmed down. As well as numerous emails canvassing to sell the cars (not totally unreasonable I suppose but, for the record, no decisions made yet and it's likely we will dispose of any we do decide to sell via existing contacts), mum had asked about getting something sorted under warranty (can't remember what) and a fairly regular PHer (not anyone who's posted on this thread) emailed her to the effect of "why not just by a new one, it's not as though you can't afford it now."

If I can find out who the car belongs to it may be possible to claim against their insurance I suppose, but the contractors unfortunately get paid if they can't gain access. They'd have shunted the car out of the way with a tractor, but I favour the softly-softly approach (not least because we'd prob. get sued for damaging the bl__dy thing.)
