I've just acquired an old Olympus film camera with a few lenses. Dad was having a sort out and has given the lot to me. I'm using a Canon 40d and wondered is it's worth getting an adaptor ring to get the lenses to fit.

They appear fairly old. There is a Clubman (sounds dodgy) 500mm f8 mirror lens which I have no idea what it's used for. A Vivitar MC 24mm 2.8, an Olympus Zuiko 35-70 3.5-4.5, a Tamron 80-210 3.8-4 (possibly) and a Tamron 2x teleconverter.

Is it worth giving them a go or am I better off sticking them on ebay and putting the money towards a new lens?

you can pick up an OM converter on ebay for about £10-15. I use an old carl zeiss 50mm planar *T lens on my 40D. live view makes the focusing piss easy

Getting them to fit physically is one thing, but, well, in short, I'd use eBay and start again.

A mirror lens is a telephoto lens that works like a reflecting telscope, using curved mirrors instead of lenses. That makes them cheaper but the aperture is fixed and out of focus highlights become circles. Interesting, but another candidate for eBay I feel.

The decision is whether to sell as a lot, or seperately.
