Why does grated cheese taste better than slices of cheese?

Probably because the cheese is taken straight from the fridge vomit. The act of grating it gets it warmer which releases the flavour.

Why does melted chese taste better than grated cheese?

You can beat cheese on toast using west country cheddar and Worcestercestershirecester sauce!

again probably because it's temperature has been raised and releases the flavour more.

Hmm, didn't think about that, but it does taste much better grated, and even better melted. But you seem to get less when you melt it.

Cheese on toast isn't complete without worcestershire sauce and a little tabasco to spice things up yumevil
