Ok, im really pleased with todays events so i thought i would share and ask a couple of questions along the way.
This has started as a result of being on newsletter that goes around to parents and students etc.
I have now been asked to do 2 weddings, at 17 should I?!
Started the day with putting up my photography display in my school (currently a year 12 student)
I then went to a meeting with the deputys secretary (steady!)And got told about a new peer to peer magazine, glossy and goes around my whole town, at least a few thousand copies. I have the opportunity of having my pictures in their, with a small advert.
Then
I got told about a new leaflet which is being placed in the local newspaper, Times for anyone thats interested. This covers more than 100 thousand people, Clevedon, Nailsea, Gordano, Weston-Super-Mare. I have the opportunity of having my pictures and an advert for my site on their as well!)
Then
I went for a meeting with my head teacher and was asked for a trial run for images of the schools prospectus for 2009-2011. The last person they got in was a professional that got a large sum of money for two days. Im getting a lot but not as much so its a win win for both sides. If my images are good enough they will be plastered over everything the school is involved in, website, future publications etc for two years!
Now all i need to do is arrange my sales pitch with IKEA!
Im quite pleased and im being told that at 17 im being extremely pro-active.

I'm no expert but great pics!
Sounds like you've been given some fantastic opportunities, go for it I say. If people have asked you to photograph their weddings then it's because they like your work and are confident of your abilities.
With the attitude you have you'll go far. Good luck!

Well done, I'd say your on the first rung of the ladder that could lead to a succesful career for you in photography if everything goes right. You seem to have not only the ability but the confidence to get you place. I wish you the best of luck.
