Hi all,

Does anybody know the full camshaft specifications for the 4.5 litre Rover V8 engine? Lift and duration at different rpm points?

If not, any idea where I can obtain this info?

Thanks!!

It depends on the grind of the cam concerned... there are quite a few possibilities even if the car has what the factory fitted, which might not be the case depending on milage. If the concern is checking for wear and tear, maybe compare similar lobes from cyl to cly as they do wear unevenly

Thanks for the input but I am happy to work with nominal base figures. Im using the figures for engine tuning calculations and cannot find any reference to camshafts used in TVR Rover V8's. I have been informed today that the cam in the 4.5 would be a Kent H214 or H218, would anybody know exactly which one or did they use both?!

Must admit, I've had more than one fit of the second thoughts on the way to emeraldom...but, then again, I've never seen anyone say they've regretted the change. Certainly don't think the 14cux is 'obsolete' though

Sure - it's fine when all is running well..

But I get a bit tired of the locked down EMS nature of the beast.

Just being able to plug the Emerald into a PC and check what is and is not working will really help.
