Gear knob that is!

I bought a new ball knob (it gets worse!) from TVR Power last week for my Tam, as I don't like the Leven one that came with the car. However, it doesn't have the gear legend on the top. Now before people start saying "don't you know where the gears are yet" I must point out that the reason I want a sticker/plate etc is that there is a lip around the flat top (to accommodate the gear legend) that I'm sure will get annoying to feel after a short while.

Any ideas where I can get a plate or sticker for this?

P.S. TVR Power did tell me they only had plain knobs before I bought it. Also, I can't complain for £10 all in.

I think I have got a lip around the top edge of my knob as well biggrin

Seriously though, I have been thinking something should be sat in there although I do have the gear positions engraved on.
Cant wait till I get her back from repairs on Thursday and check this.

Maybe it's the same size as Leven's; have you made a comparison? They'd probably supply one and if it's too big you could turn it down to size.

They sell the gear pattern emblems separately.

I solved a similar problem with my Griff knob, though I bought through Demon Tweeks.

Is This what you mean? The emblems look a bit big. The flat part of my knob is very small.

Didn't think of that Mr Snorky. Too late now, my new knob has been screwed on.

Regards,

Mr Knobby.

See 'spotted' thread. Have you got a nice blue Chim - H10 TVR? Could be we work in the same institution.

Hi Paul,

I'm planning to be at the next meet, if you can hang on to it till then?

Hopefully, we can all compare and contrast our knobs at the same time.
