Oulton 2nd Aug (hi to Prince)
Discussion
Had a fantastic day, Fluffy ran faultlessly. We (me and my brother) were beaten by very few other cars: White Cerbera with modified suspension (respect), 1 Griff (respect), and an Ultima (respect). We were in the red group, If any of you guys were their my car was the dark blue S6 Cerbie. Had a fantastic day. Hi to Prince hope you enjoyed your ride.

This was my first TVRCC track day - it was excellent! Great organisation and fantastic track. I'll be there next year. I didn't realise I would see so many (any) of the older cars on the track - like Grantua / Griffith / Vixen - sorry I can't tell them apart yet. All seemingly in concourse condition. Brilliant!
Cheers,
Andy.

Just like to say a "BIG THANK YOU - to Nick (and your brother & Dad for giving up their seat)"

for a great day at Oulton. This was my first experience of being "On track" and WOW..... what a way to start... I've been

ever since... I'm sure next time we meet I'll have my Griff on track - although I think I'll need a few lessons before I can keep up with your pace

Dont sell yourself short Prince. TVRs are so superbly balanced and controlable that you will be suprised at just how fast you can go, with just a bit of commitment. One session was enough for my Dad, and he had to be persuaded to do that!
First time out for me too, Purple (well actually Rolex Blue) Griff, road driving seems so crappy now!
Anyone confess to owning the Yellow Tamora that was in the green group? Was that your fisrt time and have you had it chipped as I couldn't believe how much faster it was than my 500 out of bends.
Also, anyone know the full story of the black Tuscan that caught fire. I wanted to be nosey and question the poor sap, but thought he probably wanted to cry in a corner somewhere. Was there much damage, does anyone know the owner etc. Felt really sorry for him, but at least the car was driveable.
Many thanks to Bernie for organising an excellent day, the first of many.

It'll be a standard Tamora, No1. "They all do that, Sir!"
When I took mine round Bruntingthorpe, it was ridiculously fast through corners, and straight line speed as a result was unbelievable. It showed up all the Griffs/Chimaeras, and had the drop on standard Tuscans, too. It shows how far TVR has come in the handling/suspension department.

Err, no, it wasn't me.

Ah Oulton.
Not such a happy day. Looking forward to it for months. First decent blast in new motor. 500 mile round trip, then 2 laps before an oil leak put paid to the day. On the bright side, the car had done less than 50 miles since its build, so I guess teething problems are inevitable. Just a pity it took 500 miles to find them so soon
So, yes, this was the first appearance of the purple Tuscan [ex-challenge]. But it it does seem to have some potential. It be back!!

First time at Oulton. After the sighting laps i asked myself what the hell was i doing!
It is an awesome circuit very demanding with changes in elevation, camber and not much run off. Demands maximum respect at all times!!
It certainly made airfields look very very boring!!
The S performed faultlessly and even managed to harass a number of more poweful cars.
You would be suprised at what the right suspension will do to a car!!
Many thanks to Bernie and the team!
