I’m off snowboarding at the weekend and it will be the first opportunity to i get to use my new camera (Fuji S9600 bridge camera) in a such a great location.

I was wondering whether there are any worthwhile tips for taking pictures in snowy condition?

I’ve manage to get some great pictures previously with lesser camera's but it was more by accident than skill.

Has any one got any good snowy mountain type pictures for some inspiration?

Thanks in advance

I'd second using a polariser. One of my mates had an ND filter too which gave some good results.

Also, from one boarder to another please make sure you snap as many pics of lurid 'all in one suits' as you can dude......those skiers dont do themselves any favours do they wink

I've never had my DSLR up on the hill but have had some good results with my Lumix TZ3.

laugh

Oh, spare battery too mate as cold weather eats them.

Make sure that you don't underexpose.

Your camera meter doesn't know that snow is supposed to be white;
it may just think that the whole scene is too bright because of all the light
reflected from the snow, and fool the exposure settings.
