A couple of questions about Tertre Rouge.
Discussion
Hi fellas,
Looks like we're in Tertre Rouge for 2004 (cheers Richie ) and having previously witnessed the luxury of Houx last year, was wondering what we can expect when we get to the site next year.
If someone could take the time out to answer a couple of questions I'd be eternally grateful.
Are there allocated pitches or is it a free for all, if so, when do we need to get there to stake out a decent enough pitch for approx 10 people?
How busy/wild does it get on site?
How easy to get cars in and out of?
Is there a power hook up of any sort? Are generators the norm or do they just pi55 off your neighbours?
Is there a water supply? How accessable? (Thinking about the paddling pool)
What (if any) sanitary facilities are there?
Any other handy hints on Tertre Rouge survival would be most welcome also.
Cheers
Dave
PS, I know it's a tad premature but we've got all sorts of other stuff happening around that time so we need to get on it.

Some mates of mine were camped on Terte Rougre this year and having visited them over the weekend here are my impressions of the site.
1. No allocated pitches. Only Houx has this to the best of my knowledge. Get there the earlier the better.
2. Busy/wild. Er ..... dead I'm afraid. On Friday night sitting around having a few beers til well gone 1:30am you felt like whispering for fear of waking someone. V V V V quiet.
3. Access. Looked OK but cars were parked very close together. Once your in maybe thats your lot,I'm honestly not sure. Although our mates were out for much of the time. Then again, if people aren't in and out all the time, you won't end up covered in so much dust.
4. Can't say I heard any gennie's. Sure they'd have stood out if anyone was using 'em.
5. Toilets and water were in easy reach. Nice looking big block from what I remember.
6. Terte Rouge is located between the track and the by-pass/dual carriageway. So if the track don't keep you awake the lorries will ! On the plus side it's less than a minutes walk from the track (depending on where you pitch up, on sand not grass, mud if it rains !), a short walk over the Dunlop bridge and you are into the village and funfair. And it only takes 15 mins or so to walk down to the Carrefour for supplies. Handy once the roads are closed off.
As I say just my impressions from sitting around having some beers with my mates, some who loved it, others who wanted to be in Houx Annexe. Perhaps some-one who camped there will give a more accurate review.
