Radical SR3
Radical's the word! Road going racer to debut at Autosport Show
Discussion
I like this car. Who is the original, these guys or Westfield?
Also, while it has great power to weight, judging by the 0-60 time, how can it hope to compete at Le Mans with such a low top speed (140 mph). That would be just suicidal for everyone down the Mulsanne, with a 100 mph speed differential between a Radical and your generic megabuck 240 mph Le Mans racer.

Hayabusa turbo engine would fit - 380 bhp from Holeshot racing.
Then you'd need to sort out the final drive.
I don't see why not. My Lotus Carlton has 377bhp, and revs out in fifth at 187 mph (unofficial highest top speed on dead straight road - not bowl - by Lotus test driver). It has a drag coefficient of 0.32 or 0.34 - can't remember precisely.
Assuming the Radical is about as slippery, and has a smaller frontal profile (which it must do) it should hit 200 with the right gearing.
Only a guess though.

Since I invested in this SR3, I really want it to perform like an formula 1 car. I did some calculations, if the car weighs about 350 Kg with 565 HP then the power to weight ratio would be higher than a f1 by 1%. Although, my main concern isn't about power to weight ratio but how much downforce this car can generate. As stated on here, it generates 2Gs in the corners, stock. I called up an car design/engineer shop to discuss how I could setup the SR3 to generate 4Gs on the lateral and corners... He said the front wing/splitter, side skirts, and rear wing will have to be modified heavily. Especially the rear wing if I want 3/4 of the downforce generated through the car. It has to be larger, so it should be something similar to wings of Ferrari F50s, Toyota GT1, and so forth... I asked them for a quote on this type of project, they say an exact amount can't be given but it would be around 35-40k or so.
Regarding the top speed of this car, I think it has alot of potential. It could be as fast as you and I want it to be. But it's not about the car's capability, instead, it's about enough cash in our pockets...
350kg? 4g? Erm, I wouldn't put any money on it. It will be quick but I can't see getting anywhere near those figures. Keep it realistic
Graeme.

I was at the Autosport show and saw the new Radical SR3 and the Westfield.
No contest!
You would only need to save a bit longer to own the beautiful SR3 car.
The SR3 was the most up to date design of the two by far.
On the Westfield stand I was told “there car would beet the Radical car on the track Guaranteed”
A large claim, for a car that has hardly been on the track.
We will see.
Me, well I would go for the SR3.
You Only get what you pay for.

I have to agree the Westfield looked a bit rough round the edges compared to the Westfield, like the Ginetta G20 this car was not up to the quality of the SR3.
Another thing the staff on the Radical stand were far more helpful and a chap called Adrian said I could try his SR3 on an airfield near Oxford.
Jazz
