Caught peeing in the kettle

I hate having to stagger up the stairs in the small small hours to have a pee. Just got back from the pub and the wife caught me peeing into the kettle. I said I was recycling but she's stormed up to bed ib=n a huff. What to do?

Didn't dare chance the garden with the old curtain twitcher next door. The kettle seemed like a goodd idea at the time but I have just heard the upstairs light switch get turned off in that 'special' (don't know how she does it but very loud) way. Cold leather sofa, 2 bath towels fronm the (downstairs)laundry basket and televison X it is then.

Its common for people to take a pee in cupboards draws etc but i have never heard of a kettle

It's always got to be the garden in this scenario!

Man, of all the things you could have used like a saucepan, it had to be the kettle??!?!!

I can imagine this'll be a funny one to try and explain tomorrow!

OK...

I think the phrase here is "own goal". If potatoes were involved, then mebbe "p!ssing on yer chips" could have been added as an afterthought .

The kettle was the closest (second closest) thing to hand. Plus I thought it would be easy to sterilise. I feel a bit sick.

Well, it's a new kettle at the very least.
Peing directly into a sink, or out of a window seems much more refined, considering. She may just be pissed off that she can't do the same.

Don't get me wrong, I know the correct protocol. I would have opted for the sink if it didnt have washing up in it, and I reckon she'd have been just as able with the kettle; it's a wide one with a fold flat handle (and now I think about it..............)

i think at this rate you are going to need a very long ladder to climb out of that hole you are digging for yourself
