New Mini owner - Advice needed (Run Flats - again!)
Discussion
I have had my Cooper since last October (and incidentally I love it!). It currently has Pirelli 17" run flats. I now have 2 slow punctures. On reading this forum it would appear that nobody has a good word to say about the run flats (and I am now beginning to see why!) What do people recommend and if I were to change 2 at a time, is it feasable to have 2 run flats and 2 normal tyres on the car at the same time? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Lisa

It is feasible, but not recommended IMO. I got a nail in the front ruin flat, changed both fronts for proper tyres and left the rears.
The difference in grip levels was, interesting to say the least. I binned the rear ruin flats soon after.
Look upon it as a performance upgrade and change all of them. Once you've experienced a MINI with proper tyres you'll wonder how you put up with ruin flats for so long.

Thanks for the advice.
Have finally found a fitting station that will fit non run flats on the existing rims but they say that I will have to sign a disclaimer. Is this normal? Also I have been recommended Falcon ZE 512's and Toyo Proxes T1-R amongst others. Any thoughts on these as they seem so much cheaper than the premium brands (Goodyear, Pirelli etc.) Do you really get what you pay for?
Thanks again.
