Hi guys - With a particular Hi to Ted! Much respect to the daddy of the Petrolheads!!!
dailysportscar.com is only just up and running but will expand dramatically in the coming weeks
The nearly legendary Malcolm Cracknell is indeed in the editors seat and there will be some more very familiar names involved too.
For those Lotus fans out there, the site has been designed by Chris Ellis (PI racer in the Mike Haines Racing Lotus Esprit GT car)and his guys.
Hope you enjoy it

PS There are loads of sites you stumble across and visit once or twice. This one is a regular stop for me - You do a brilliant Job!

Present plans are for an annual subscription of £30 (Autosport costs well over £130 over a full year and if you get 200 words of coverage of a British GT race you're lucky!!)
There will be free areas on the site but the Daily News, interviews, features etc will, I'm afraid, be pay to view from Feb 11th.
The reason is simple - If we are going to post race coverage (and photos) as quickly as people would like - not just from the UK but from around Europe and the US - then writers and photographers will need to be paid (to cover their expenses if nothing else!)
Sadly there have been too many sites that have tried to survive just on sponsorship and advertising - for race coverage it just doesn't hack it over the long term.
Before we go subscription there will be a chance to see what you will be asked to pay for first - Our coverage of the Daytona 24 Hours will be free (as will our reports from Autosport International this week)
There should be plenty of British interest at Daytona this year - Ascari, Graham Nash's new saleen (plus a Porsche), Calum Lockie in the Mantara with Cor Euser, Eurotech are taking a 911 for Mike Jordan, David Warnock, Mark Sumpter and Graham Langford, to say nothing of Andy Wallace, James Weaver, Ollie Gavin et al. Could be fun

Just a quick note, www.dailysportscar.com is now running at full throttle. I thought I should mention that here.
I've got to say, I used to visit Totalmotorsport a lot. Obviously when things changed and then the news level dropped so did my enthusiasm to visit the site.
Along came Dailysportscar.com, wow! For someone who's in to GT racing it's a "must have" loads of news items, loads of pictures, a lot of insight and rumour.
Brilliant.
