Hi all, i am new to this forum and would be interested in your feedback. I have road tested the above, which by all accounts seemed a great drive! I have also tried out the A3 2.0 L TDI 140 SE, and a Golf 2.0 L TDI 170. I can appreciate the benefits of the quattro, however before getting one (as the outlay is a lot more than originally budgeted for) i am interested in thoughts from past or present owners. I currently drive an old Peugeot 306 D turbo, which has treated me well, but i fancy getting something a little more sporty now.

You could save yourself some £££ and get a TDi 140 and remap it?

If you are going to be keeping the car for a long time, then would go with the Audi.

The S-Line quattro 170 is a good little beast to drive, quite quick (particularly on the mway) and extremely popular. Accordingly, they hold their money and are very easy to sell.

Just collected mine today smile - I don't expect too much in the way of high MPG's around the 50mpg mark for a while as engine needs to loosen

Options
Deep Sea Blue
Tinted Windows
Mobile Preparation/Arm Rest
Interior Light Pack
Non Smoking Pack
Xenon Plus
FYI the Concert Stereo includes a 3.5mm AUX port.

I plan to retrofit the black optic pack in due course.

I would go for the golf gt tdi 170 unless you need the 4wd.

hmm thats strange, 52.1 on the last tank, taking at the pumps as the onboard comp makes it up as it goes along

I have a 2007 audi a3 sportback s-line 2.0tdi 170, front wheel drive though. stunning car, and the '07 s-line have full leather as standard rather than the half leather of the earlier models.

the car is having a facelift this summer to look a bit more like the front of the cabrio. go for the audi, quality through and through.

couple of negatives though:
first gear is awful
ride is a bit harsh
boot release has a mind of its own (common fault)
prone to steering racks at 60k (prob because of the huge wheels, again common fault)

other than that fantastic!
