Bought myself one of these for when I go away. Battery is perfect on my T350 at the moment, but although it's been plugged in for a couple of hours now, it's still showing the yellow lamp (expected to see this only for charging a discharged battery). Does this suggest I've plugged it in wrong (ciggy lighter is sometimes sometimes a bit erratic with my satnav as it takes a bit of pushing to get the thingy in). Ciggy lighter socket seemed snug with the accumate, so am I worrying unecessarily?

Mine goes green after a day or too, I don't think the yellow light would be on if it isn't connected correctly, try and un plugging the unit from the cig lighter, you may find out that there is then only the red light left on, in other words, if the yellow light is on it should be connected ok.

That is OK. If only the red power light shows (pluuged in an switched on) - no yellow OR green then it is not connected properly.
Remember that the battery is being drained all of the time - clock, alarm etc. - so it's usual for the Accumate to switch back in to charge mode (yellow) quite often.

Make sure it is set to 6v not 12V.
