I was wondering when the next Toca kinda game was coming but this one looks a bit Need For Speedy shall I not get my hopes up?

Yeah it is a shame, TOCA Touring Cars and TOCA Touring Cars 2 were great in there day, as was Colin McRea Rally. It's just a shame they haven't seemed to progress like other games since the arival of Gran Turismo
Even the last version of Race Driver and CM:Dirt still used the weird central pivot physics that the original games used way back in 96-7 or whenever.

Those weird central pivot physics in DiRT are ruining the game for me. Everything else is fantastic. The graphics, the sound and the cars are all excellent...but those physics

this game will be only beaten by GT5...... looks class, going through a racing career is really interesting
Well for me it's got to beat Forza Motorsport 2 first... which itself easily beats every other console game on the market for a handling model. Then there is the totally comprehensive tuning side of things.Race driver grid has a battle on its hands, thats for sure. At the moment the graphics look very "pretty" but as previously mentioned, they seem to be very "Need for Speed" rather than realistic.

if you think dirt's physic's are bad try saga rally
yeah but sega is supposed to have a dodgy arcade feel to it, they always have and I have liked all of the sega games, have the new one on xbox too and was much less disappointed with it than I was with Colin. Sega met my expectations Colin just let me down. I think so far the best rally sim is Richard Burns, its a lot harder than others but I think the physics are most realistic.RB Will said:

GT5 Prologue has a similar option.
btw - I am just as disappointed with Codemasters with what they've done to the Race Driver series.

I swapped GT5 Prologue for this a few days ago. Maybe it isn't the best in terms of physics etc but it has that vital ingredient that GT5 currently lacks.... Excitement.
I found GT5 about as exciting as watching paint dry but when the full game is out I will get that as I think once the online play is sorted in GT5 then they will complement each other quite well.
