Strange grinding noise coming from front left wheel

As per the subject only noticed it today. When I turn full lock right, i hear what sounds like a grinding sort of noise coming from the front left wheel. Almost like the wheel is catching on something. Any ideas what this could be?

Is the wheel loose at all? Try pulling/pushing it back and forth and see if there is any give.

Common on M400's. I've driven a couple where you could put on enough lock for the tyre to rub on the wheel arch. Slightly worn ball joints can make this worse.

Strange because its never happened before and I drive the same way to work everyday. I will investigate further this lunchtime. Its doesn't sound healthy though. Typical really, the cars been down south for the last week getting serviced and only till I get it home do I get more problems

Look for rub marks on the arches (usually on the inside nearest the tunnel). No geometry changes at the service?

Not as far as I know, its possible the tyres were pumped up though which might make a difference.

How come this occurs on M400s and not earlier models?

M400 has a different sized tunnel section, so can get more lock. I suspect that the change of angles make the lock stops more prone to moving, etc.

Could be a broken lock stop, so worth seeing if same rotation in each direction?

Mine did that on one side - caused by the factory not centering the rack before putting it all together meaning I had more lock one way than the other.
