I'm familiar with how to prepare a 'regular' frame for a respray, but how would a carbon fibre one be prepared? Obviously shot-blasting is out of the question.

Also, can anyone recommend a sprayer in the south east?

Hi Mate,

I used to have my racing bikes done at Argos cycles in Bristol, they arrange pickup and drop off for not much cash. I can't remember their web address but if you do a search it comes up OK. Their site is outdated but their work is top notch and I'm an avid perfectionist due to my job.

That's good to know - they've come up in quite a few searches this morning, as well as Dave Yates and Bob Jackson Cycles.

I'm assuming that you can't shot/sandblast a cf frame though?

If you look on the Argos site they mention carbon specifically you should give them a ring.

Carbon frames are expensive to prep and spray cause of the special care required. Argos are here www.argoscycles.com

Bob Jackson are cheaper than Argos http://www.bobjacksoncycles.co.uk

Roberts Cycles in Croydon also offer a frame respraying service not sure if they do Carbon though.
