Anyone know what 'halcyon' means in respect of TVR paint colours? I've heard of Halcyon Atlantis, which is blue I think - but there's also Halcyon Midas Pearl - which is yellow! I'm confused,

Nothing new there then JS

Halcyon, from Oxfords Finest means

Tranquil and Free From Disturbance.

A Mythological Bird, resembling a Kingfisher

Halcyon days, a time of happiness and Tranquility , also two weeks of calm weather during the winter solstice.

To much Tranquility for a TVR for me

halcyon blue I think is meant to look like a tranquil bit of water and the yellow and nice summer yellow.

Makes you feel all warm and happy and serene

But can turn turbulent if provoked

Indeed.

Living next to the Sea, my Halcyon Atlantis Cerb mirrored the changing blue's and green's of the ocean.

B'Stard to take a photo of - either came out bright blue/dark blue or green.

Oh yes - it's the North Sea I live next to - has high probability of whipping up into a storm

Worst decision of my life selling that car

So there you have it. A range of colours (Atlantis, Midas, Hebrides, all pearlescent) possibly loosely related to the serenity/wildness of nature

Good stuff, those GRP fumes, I reckon...look what happened when they got to Tuscans - Mars Moondust

It does seem a bit strange associating a Tiv with 'serene' - my Halcyon Midas Pearl Tamora is anything but.....

Mind you, she is serene when her engine is off, but that's the only time!

Claire, met your Dad again last week at the factory - what a top guy he is - can't do too much for you.

Glad everything is ok.
