it does look very very nice, but i have only just started the 1st one... and although its on "Realistic" i cant get past the train yard at the start of the game..

I played it for a bit - got pissed off at the first missions so stopped for a few months, and had another go - and it does get better!

It gets better, but also harder!
I'd advise you try it on normal difficulty first, it can be frustrating on realistic. I'm always up for a game on live if anyone here still plays.

whats online like? is it like COD4? or more tactical?

Its more tactical than COD in my opinion, you do need to be on a team willing to talk to win. You'll probably be pretty good at it coming straight from COD as Rainbow Six runs at a much slower pace.

I didn't get into COD online as I thought Rainbow Six was more fun!

Looking forward to it - I really enjoyed R6LV.

It took me ages to "unlearn" the R6 controls and not to try to duck into cover when I started playing COD4. I'll hnow ave to start all over again and get used to left trigger taking me into cover rather than aiming down the barrel!

Anyone got theirs yet? ShopTo shipped mine yesterday so it will hopefully be at home tonight.

A quick look at a few reviews suggests that it's an evolution of R6LV rather than a revolution and so may disappoint those who played the first one and are expecting major changes.

My pre-order didn't arrive early as I was hoping.
To be honest I'd like this one to stick to the same formula with some minor tweaks and prettier graphics. I'll be happy with that!

Apparently they used EXACTLY the same music that they did in the first one. I think this is just a blatent cash-in on the franchise.

Saw a review and think I'm going to either get Unreal Tournament when that comes out next Friday, or just hold off for the big one at the end of April.

Got it at midnight like a geek, to me graphics look the same, I had a quick go in the online mode and some of the same casinos are carried over.
Not really had chance to have a propper go to assess the gameplay but as said above it just seems like the first one with new levels and online modes.
Nothing groundbreaking but it still looks fun.

Unreal Tournament is fun online but the single player is st. So repetitive.
