Can someone enlighten me on something I've done, and since forgotten how to do in Paintshop? I presume Photoshop would be the same process

It involves greyscaling a lot of the image, leaving a focal point in colour. I remember something about freehand selecting the bit I wanted to keep, maybe I copied it or moved it, then greyscaled it but on another image I cant seem to get it to work

A la:

If "the devil" replies, can he also send on his tax return etc?

TIA smile

Selectivly colouring?

In photoshop duplicate the image layer then B&W the nwe top layer, then use a layer mask to 'rub out' the B&W image where you want the colour through.

That's how I do it.

Better idea would be to put away the beer when you're Photoshopping hehe

Duplicate original on new layer, greyscale/desaturate new layer, create layer mask and on the layer mask paint black where you want colour to show through. If you get it wrong, change to white to put the grey back.

Easier to correct mistakes this way than erasing through.

Done, thanks all. Easier with Photoshop than Paintshop really.
