Don't have the specific instructions for that gauge, but using a camber gauge to measure caster usually works something like this:

  1. Turn the steering 20 degrees towards the side you are measuring.
  2. Zero the camber gauge.
  3. Turn the steering back to center and 20 degrees the other way.
  4. Record the camber reading. This value is the caster angle on that corner.
If you don't have a gauge that can be zeroed then just subtract the two camber readings.

id also put something under the wheels, i used to used a couple of plastic biscuit tin lids (the sort that cheese biscuits come in) this cuts the friction between the tyres and the floor which otherwise tends to move the car sideways a little.

it made a massive differance (to such a small measurment).

then i got some proper turntables off ebay (36 quid cloud9 and wow - they make it a pleasure to do, no messing or guessing, zero the tables, 20 deg, done!

edited due to pi55 poor spelling, whats wrong with me?

Right, so the way i did it, lock to lock is totally pants, i did try measuring 20° and found it wasnt that far off full lock, but my methods were a bit crude. Maybe i will get my car set up properly.

Glad to see you posting again Guru.
