Rough idea on price?
Discussion
I have a 1989 mini thirty sat on my uncles drive way which I haven't been able to use for the best part of a year so there really is no point in keeping it.
The pearlescent cherry red colour is still very strong and looks great but it does have a rust problem at the bottom of the passenger door and bubbling around the bulkhead at the front.
It has had various work carried out on it over a fairly long period of time and ticks over very sweetly indeed.
It's pretty high mileage for a mini, currently on 89,000.
I don't expect to get a fortune for it but I am a little confused as to how much I should sell it for because there arean't that many 30s for sale and the condition varies quite abit as does the price.

If the rust is limited to just those areas, then it must be worth over £1000 as the Mini 30 is very attractive and incvreasingly rare. However, if there is more deep-seated rust in the sills, rear sub-frame mounting, A-panels, front panel, wings, etc, then the price will reduce dramatically.
The mileage is not really high and a 998 is easy to rebuild anyway. A Mini 30 with a good-condition body and a slightly improved engine is a very fine car.If I had the space at present I would make an offer for it.

Thanks for the reply.
I shall have a good look over the car for rust, if I were to take some shots could you take a look at them if I post them up on here?
If circumstances change regarding space and you want to make an offer then feel free.
Why not keep it and sell the Audi I shall have a good look over the car for rust, if I were to take some shots could you take a look at them if I post them up on here?

The way Mini prices have increased over the last 12 months you could be well advised to dry store it for a few years and, maybe, get the restoration work needed done.
Where do you live? If you are anywhere near here (Cambridge) I would love to come and take a look as I might know someone who wants one.
Alternatively email me some photos.
