This popped through the letterbox today and i've just had chance to have a blast on the PS3.

First impressions: Pretty good, single player seems to be a bit repetitive. It's bloody fast paced though, worlds apart from COD4. I suspect playing this often enough should actually improve your reactions so you'll be a COD God eventually.

I've not ventured into the multi-player section yet though I suspect this is where most of the fun will be had.

Anyone else got it?

I'll probably be buying this tomorrow, haven't got much for my PS3 yet and looks good from the bits I've seen.

I've got it for the PC. Haven't played it much though as COD4 has been taking up all my time biggrin

It does look nice & play well, far more so than the last 3 or 4 UT releases.

PS...doesn't anyone play these games on a PC nowadays....

Still playing HL2DM very regularly, there's still no other game that comes close to it in terms of gameplay.

Best Multiplayer Game Ever.

Playing an FPS without a mouse/keyboard!?

As good as consoles are, I can't get to grips with the naff controllers, just too slow, even after years playing Goldeneye I rekon I could have finished it half the time and half the ammo with a mouse to aim with tongue out

Do most FPS's & RTS's support keyboard and mouse on the 360?

No...none do, it would be a rediculous advantage to those that had a keyboard and mouse.

Mouse and keyboards are just way to easy to use when playing FPS games.

UT3 does on the PS3. It gives you an option as to whether you want to join a game where it's allowed or not though.

Hehe, after years on a PC though, it just feels silly to play without.

Imagine playing C&C or similar with a joypad, eugghh. Select and drag, must take an aggeee!

C&C on the 360 has buttons to "select all onscreen" or "select all of current type".

But yeah, still sucks.

Ah not so bad, but not so great if you want to send 50% of your flame troopers at building A and 50% to building B, select all, or one at a time, getting confused because they are multi-unit selectables now, so your not sure if you are re-selecting ones or not...

Does the 360 have the collection numbering system too, so you can assign numbers to squads etc?

Shame that they are not making keyboards and mice, hardly expensive or bulky items, and users really are missing out on a much more fun experience in plenty of games, while PC users have to deal with the occasional piss-poor console port with crap keyboard/mouse support!

think i have it on the pc, tried the kiddy consoles, but big hands and tiny thumb controls, much prefer wasd and mouse - playing haloce last night

some guy trying to get members for his clan was using dev mode to get free weapons and kit and still died 3 times in a row, banshee on banshee, he lost every time and then calls me a noob for killing him all the time. then changes sides to avoid being killed smile

reckon a 5 year old would wtfpwn in UT3 on a pc against kiddy console users smile

when playing halo and ask the kids how old they are, most think that am joking when tell them that over 40 as their dads are about that age and all they do is sit in front of the tv and drink beer... As for using the pc, most wont know how to it seems

get the odd few adults, but not into tv smile
