Hoses - where from?
Discussion
I need to buy some assorted hoses to take abroad with me as spares - If I measure the diameter of the main ones on the Griff, can I get them from any decent motor accessory shop or are they main dealer only? And is the size measured as outside diameter or inner (aperture)?
Oh, and while I'm on the subject of Spain and hoses...
What did the Spanish fireman call his son?
Jose of course.
What did he call his second son?
Hose B.

Or ACT, they do an excellent line in silicon hoses, they're rated to a higher pressure IIRC
If you replace them before you go you should have no problems
But they cost about £100
Yes but that is for 7 or 8 hoses, typically a large bore elbow is £12-18, are TVR dealers going to charge much less for ordinary rubber hoses ?

AND......... ACT hoses look like the kind of thing a PHer would be proud to bolt into his car, as opposed to the standard fayre which looks like it was stolen from a second hand washing machine dropped off at the tip and butchered by a large group of new age traveller-types.

Thing is... I think the hoses are in fairly good nick as they were all checked at it's service last month.
I only need a selection of hoses in case a quick repair is needed while I'm in Spain. Can I get away with some assorted sizes of flexible high pressure hose or, maybe do I just need a TVR elbow hose plus a selection of non-standard?
This is purely so I am not left stranded by the roadside.

Normally I would, I love looking round places with loads of goodies in them... an expensive pastime but pleasurable nonetheless!
I am not leaving Manchester until about 3pm next friday though, hoping to get down to the Holiday Inn wotsit at Folkstone for 9, bed by 9.30 ready for 04.20 Eurostar! Hence, not much time for diversions.
