Thanks to the support from our sponsors as well as Lotus Cars, we will take part in the 2002 American Le Mans Series in the GTP category with our +600hp Lotus Elise GTP.

We have 7 races in the ALMS on our schedule (additional rounds if possible), beginning with the Miani race; we are working hard on having one car ready for the 12 Hours of Sebring.

Our main goal is to qualify for the 24 Hours of Le Mans where we plan to field a 2 car team.

We are looking for additional drivers, and funding; for more information please contact motorsport@altschach.at

www.altschach.at/lotus/lotus.htm

Our site is under construction at the moment, so there is only German text. The GTP will be ready around Jan 15, and there will be pictures as soon as possible.

The car you see on the Lotus page (still as GT1) is our second chassis that we will have ready for Le Mans.

Just to tell you that we are still alive - barely - and making the last modifications, mainly in the front (where we are lowering the nose slightly), and on the rear diffusor. The car should be finished soon; Sebring is unlikely, but maybe we will make it!

We already have plans for 2003...

We hope to have pictures on our web site soon: www.altschach.at

Drivers (with or without budget) and sponsors (only with budget ) are still invited to contact us!

Simon, my apologies. We have received a number of messages, and are working our way through them now; all this on top of preparing our cars (we have a second project as well, a Honda NSX for the Nürburgring and Spa 24hr races).
Please be patient.

Hah, caught me redhanded! Got my passwords mixed up...

Before you ask - no, it's not my car. I was asked to help the team out a little with the web side of things as they are up to their ears in work - working on the engines right now, as well as securing additional sponsorship, cranking up the PR (Austria is F1 Heartland ) and so on. Also, the response has been positively overwhelming so far. So, everyone who mailed the team, please bear with them, they WILL respond a.s.a.p.

Incidentally, the 600hp mentioned in the article on this site may be a little on the conservative side...
