OK a bit tongue in cheek (alright a lot tongue in cheek) but I want to know where you can get one of those point and shoot cameras that lots of people use at football matches and sporting events. You know the ones, with the built in flash that is effective over mega distances.

Do the people who are sitting in the back row of the stands and are happily snapping away at the action some 100 yards or more away really believe that the built in flash of their £50 throwaway camera is going to shed any light on the action, or is there a super-duper camera out there that I am not aware of?

It's not them using the flash, they've got it set on automatic and so just let it do what it wants!

those flashes are brilliant at capturing the back of peoples heads. OF course, if you shoot in raw you can pull everything back to pulitzer levels.
