....and the others in that story. They appear to have been taken into the sun. Is that just a heavily graduated filter? HDR?

Is it me or is the back of that car a different shade of green to the front?

Sunlight is blown so he's exposed for the dark sky, then lit with flash from the rear left. You can just see the reflection of the flash and the puddle of light.

Looks like two flashes to me, one front one rear, look at the shadows under the wing mirror.

As you might be able to tell, I know SFA about digital photography and photoshop style manipulation. I'd be intrigued to know what people think is going on with the green reflections of the car on the ground? One of the cool things, IMH uneducated O, about the photo is that the shadow of the nose of the car cast by the Sun is still clearly defined in spite of the artifical lighting used, but if you follow the edge of the shadow back, you'll see it becomes lit by a green reflection of the car. The reflection seems to be a rather an odd shape, particularly the boundary on the right. Any thoughts?

Thats a whole lot of flash power. Good way of pulling an interesting shot out of an otherwise dull location, white balance seems a bit strange on the car itself though. ND grad too.

Yeah its a puddle reflecting the green colour of the car wink

I reckon that car has had a new rear wing too. Colour shouldn't be so starkly out.

White balance issues - you can't have the WB correct for both the daylight and the flash. At the front of the rear wing you're seeing the daylight (in shadow) where the flash hasn't reached as much...

I think the only thing that can be done to correct is to somehow filter the flash so that it is the same colour temperature as the daylight - but, of course, daylight colour temprature is markedly different between shadow areas and full sunlight! Nightmare!!!

The change in colour on the bodywork occurs precisely at the boundaries between different panels, e.g. the door, the skirt, the read 3/4 section. That is not just a lighting issue.

The car is a Techart modified one and hence has had new wings and spoiler put on. Looks like they didn't quite get a paint match to me. Definitely paint rather than just light imo
