Wine recommendation....
Discussion
....so there I was passing the (not quite)local Tesco's and I decided to drop in and grab a bottle of plonk for quaffing over dinner & tonights work....
And I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised. Call me a chav if you must, but I normally go for 'offer' wines when a mid-week quaffing takes my fancy - I normally opt for something I haven't tried before with the theory that a £7-8 bottle, now @ £4-5 will be perfectly respectable. And normally, thats what I get: perfectly respectable wine. Tonights is nice enough that I'll probably be back to grab a couple of bottles for the rack tommorrow..... so, the recommendation:
Tesco Finest KULAPELLI VINEYARD CARBERNET SAUVIGNON CARMENERE £7.99, currently £3.99
Bargain, and very pleasant stuff it is too. Little earthy, quite rounded, mellow, tanic, very drinkable. Just very nice.
I dont have Tesco shares, but if Tesco management want to drop me a case by way of thanks I'll happily accomodate
