Opps have i F*&%@d one of my new tyres
Discussion
While out and about today, I noticed that one of the front tyres looked a little flat so stopped at nearest petrol station to check it over.
Could not believe it tyre was down to only 8psi, I had not notice any difference in the steering and the car wasn't pulling to one side when driving or braking. I have visually inspected the wheel and tyre, can not see any damage or nails in tyre that would cause a slow punture.
The tyre is Goodyear eagle f1 225x 35zr18 with only a few hundred miles on them. Any advise would be gratefully received.

Jack your car up,take the wheel off, and I'll bet you a £1 to a penny you've got a nail in it....I've had about 4 in the last 12 months...If your lucky it's the valve...Main problem isn't your tyre ...Its have you f***ed the wheel, 8 psi I would have thought you've probably got away with it...count yourself lucky.

Could just be a bad seal between tyre and rim - you say they only have a few hundred miles on them so I guess recently fitted?
Yes you could be right, I am going to check tyre pressure again tomorrow and see if it has stayed stable. The problem with having such low profile tyres its difficult to see if tyre has deflated. Take it to a tyre centre - they'll throw wheel and tyre in a bath of water and see where the bubbles are coming from. Could be a puncture ( probably repairable if not near the sidewall) Could be faulty valve, could be corrosion on the rim stopping the seal or it could be a porous wheel - there was a batch of dodgy spider alloys a few years back I recall. They'll find it and advise. Puncture repairs cost about £15.00 so we're not breaking the bank here!
