Rear Brakes help needed
Discussion
Ok had a leak in the rear wheel cyl on a 89 Mayfair. Sripped it all down, cleaned it all up....then re-assembly.
How the heck do you get the wheel cyl circlip back on, is there a technique
Also, its sort of convex shaped, which way around does it go. Been at it an hour now and can't get the bloody thing to catch. Looks like a tomorrow job now.

It's a pig of a job, but you just have to persevere. The convex is to the outside, IIRC, and if you lubricae it with a bit of copper grease it helps.
When re-bleeding, don't forget to undo the bleed screw before you press the pedal down. If you pressurise the system before the bleed screw is undone, the pressure relief valve can cut in and prevent any pressure getting the the rear cylinders.
Good luck with it tomorrow.
