M Series front brake calipers
Discussion
Hi All, does anyone know what brake calipers were fitted to the front of the 3000m series and where can I get new bleed nipples as the ones fitted are past their best and looking a bit ropey. Have heard that Triumph TR6 calipers were used, can anyone confirm. Also a part No for the bleed nipples would be very handy.

Hi Ron
You may be asked whether the caliper has imperial or metric fittings.
Having been there recently, I found the following site very useful:

Have just had fun and games trying to sort the calipers on my Vixen. It turns out mine are half imperial, half metric! The side that bolts onto the upright uses metric bolts and the part that the hose and bleed screw are fitted to are imperial (Type 16 PB). I am now getting them re-conditioned so I can be sure they will fit as opposed to trying to get new ones where I would need to change the hoses / pipes etc.
These were apparently fitted to some vixens but I would have thought they would be the metric type by the M series.
