1 + 2 way too much dead space for me. Know what you were aiming for (or think I do) but you missed it as the car is soooo insignificant in them 2.

Others are nice enough smile

to add, 4 and 5 are my personal favourites, 4 is bloody nice but I wonder what would be like if you had polorised it to cut through the glare

Having seen your other stuff Rick I think these are below standard.

I'd usually feel harsh saying this to another photographer, but having seen your work I reckon you'll have shot better smile

ha ha, 1 and 2 are the ones i like the most :-)

for me the 'dead space' puts emphasis on the toy car like styling and proportions of the car. the others are as you say nice enough but just a bit ordinary.

interesting scratchchin

I'd go so far as to say 4 is the first car shot I have seen in a long long time I like. Car shots = shit boring usually. There the colour works lovely, the style of building also matches the ere the car was from (ok the bulding is much older but back then most buildings were still of the style).

The first two, the dead space (for me) emphasises nothing, isnt it interesting as often the photos we like best someone always likes the others more?!?

don't feel bad :-) they are from a while back, the location is the mill my studio is in (the carpark tbh) just nipped out for an hour on day with a guy i work with. one of the first times i'd photographed a car properly so they don't mean that much to me.

i do still think there is something in 1 & 2 tho? i feel like i could reach in and pick the car up!

they are also pre-ploariser ;-)

rick.

refer you to my previous comment on car photos wink But 4 has a TS feel to it, if you could orton around the car to a big extent it would come over as TS I think

4 is my favourite out of the 2nd lot but 4 in the first lot is, to me, the best car shot I've seen in a very long time simply because it isnt boring - shame about teh shine so much
