Hi guys,
local halfords has a set of 4 toyo proxes on offer for just over 200 quid. Thing is they are 205 40 17's where as my cooper s sits on 205 45 17 runflats.
In my mind it would only make about 2cm difference in profile so speedo would read a little lower?
Has onyone got any experience of changing tyre profiles? Wouldnt have considered doing it were it not for the fact i am due some new front tyres and these are cheap.

My Cooper S sits on 215/40/17, but if anything, I think the profile is too low. With the weight over the front wheels, the front tyres look flat where as the rears look fine. I also seem to suffer from a lot of wheel spin and a lot of tramlining.
They were fitted to the car when I bought it, so next time it's due a tyre change, I might go for the stock 205/45/17 size instead, see if it improves anything.
