My first ever Le Mans 24 hr trip was in the year that TVR launched their first convertible and I haven't missed one since ie I'm old and addicted. Now that I'm enjoying my well-earned TVR and TVRCC membership I have a question.

I let my ACO membership lapse several years ago and recent forays to Le Mans have involved buying Maison Blanche/Houx campsite tickets (and stand tickets)at much inflated prices off eBay.

"Sprint" arrived a couple of days ago with the insert offering LM tickets to members. So I've stuck my order in for a M.B campsite ticket and 2 M.B stand tickets (along with the
Enceites Generales). So the question is, what chance have I that the TVRCC will be able to honour this order, is it based on first come-first served or lucky dip or whatever ? Anyone had experience of this ?

That's correct, now on the other side of the Dartford crossing in darkest Kent rather than Essex. Paul was planning to buy a boat and ply the ocean for a few years although I suspect the TVR bug will eventually bite him again.

My challenge is to keep the car in the wonderful state that Paul handed it over to me. Perhaps on a quiet summer's day on the Thames estuary with a gentle Southerly blowing he will still be able to hear his old car flat out in second attacking some Kentish B road....

As you have applied early - you should be OK..

I do remember Springbok saying that the MB camping ticket allocation had been slashed this year as the ACO are developing the site.

Might be best to call the club office and discuss.

It does state on the Le Mans booking form that it is first come first served basis. Sounds like you have got in early, good luck.

Thanks for that, I'll be pleasantly surprised if I come up trumps as I believe, apart from MB, Houx Annexe is currently being developed into a football stadium - after last year's antics maybe that's not such a bad thing !

I believe that TVRCC have an allocation and are selling those. Ring the office to check, but get your order form in...

Bill

Did you get your tickets sorted? A crowd from our local region of the TVRCC are going down and may have a spare ticket.....need to check though.

About 15 TVRs are going to the Classic Le Mans from our region in July. I went a couple of years ago and in my humble opinion, is much better than the regular Le Mans.

If you are interested in either, please contact me through my email address on my profile.

Cheers
