Hi,

I`m picking up my Tiv in a few weeks and it comes with Autoprotect Standard Wear and Tear warranty (supplied through the dealer).

The car is a ’05 Sagaris (12k miles) and from what I understood extremely well looked after (visually its perfect – not a scratch or paint chip..)

The upgrade price to the 'premium' package is around £650 and I want to know is it worth it over the standard?

I got an autoprotect poicy with my purchase in June 07. The car hadn't been used for a while and needed some tlc. With use there were some mechanical niggles that needed sorting in the 1st month. Result three claims (almost began to regret purchase - almost). One claim in three 'covered' despite all three fitting supposed guarentee. Fortunatley they were all small amounts, However (due to my experiences)I won't be renewing the policy when it expires.

From reading this site over a number of years i would put the money in the bank as these policys are a waste of time. It is a get out of jail clause for the dealer
