Just strayed, sorry. Is this forum any good? Found it to be very hard on the eyes and quite annoying to use. Noticed a few of the regulars on this forum frequent over there too.

Up to you dude. Some love it, some hate it. Marmite.
Clearly, it's quieter - fewer contributors - not because it's 'worse', because it's only available to paid up TVRCC members.
Keeps out the riff-raff? wink

The Regional forums are excellent for keeping members informed and for general chatsmile. The individual model forums are not as busy as on here, but generally you will get very useful replies - just keep dipping in and you can then decide yourself.

Not all regions use their forums much, but others, like Bristol, WWM, C3C and Hants use them as their main comms methods - enjoysmile

Must admit my interests generally lie in the Chimaera section (and the Griff, since same car except hairy chest wig storage compartment boxedin). Just want to learn everything possible about the car. Great source of info and opinion. Not so interested in general TVR chat. Do 'they' have as many V8 vs Speed6 debates? laugh I will however keep an eye on the local region section. As not a lot on PH about this.

I tend to flick over between this forum and the TVRCC forums. If you have tabs on your Internet explorer then keep a tab for PH & one for TVRCC...it makes viewing between the two easier and quicker IMHO.

Hey up Shazza.
I'm pretty darn well thanks, I hope you and Dave are too. Maybe see you at Castle Combe shortly?

I find using both is best. Tend to check one site, then jump over to the other one to check that out too. wink

I think for technical stuff, PH wins easily. Sometimes days go by without any posts on some of the TVRCC site model fora.

There also seems to be more censorship over there, and a belief is apparent to me that the TVRCC must not do anything which might be construed as upsetting NS / the factory.

And woe betide anyone who dares to voice an opinion contrary to that of the TVRCC hierachy.

All IMHO of course - and I am a member.

I go to both, they are different, for different audiences (obviously as one is limited to paying members, the other free for all). Therefore, you are bound to get differences. There are a lot that use sites, which probably is the best answer.

oh dear, the TVRCC police have infiltrated PH now. It would be a real shame if this attitude of "no-criticism allowed" becomes prevalent here.

I thought PH was independent. Perhaps not.

I assume this is with your Mods. hat on Big Al?

Perhaps you can enlighten me as to exactly which of my comments are inaccurate - I will gladly retract any which are so.

Nope not a comment from a mod, just wish you'd give the TVRCC a break from your constant gripes (in general) about the way they run their website.

Just let people go there and make up there own minds.
