Bastid Halo disc is semi-dead. Can't load anything from campaign mode, no matter where I try to start. Multiplayer is fine, no problems whatsoever. I've had a look at the disc, and whilst there were smeary fingermarks indicative of 24month old mini-mekon involvement, lengthy questioning elicited a firm denial. I am trying to figure out what killed it. There aren't any big scratches, just a some very fine lines. If the drive kills the disc, that gouges it, right? The disc doesn't look bad at all - I could trade it without question.

I wouldn't care, but I haven't got round to doing campaign yet. Oh well, COD4 may be waiting for me at home. If so, I guess the £10 replacement disc will be the cheapest option.

I don't see the problem here? Halo 3 is wank. The wankiest part of it being campaign mode. I almost cried at how pathetically wank it is. You've been done a favour, now you can upgrade to the god-like COD4.

As a side note, to get rid of small surface scratches, smear a bit of toothpaste on the disc before washing it clean. Something to do with the Bicarbonate (sp?) of soda in it...?

Played for a couple of hours last night. I've since taken up smoking and swearing, and stabbed two swarthy looking chaps on the way to work.
