Weber Vs Twin Su's?
Discussion
For outright power the Weber will give more than the SU(s).When we changed from the 1.75 HIF44 to a 45 Weber, with no other changes , it was worth around 8 bhp at 8k rpm.
However from the pics you have previously shown of the shell build you may be using the mini on the road (and entering sprints/hillclimbs in the modified roadgoing class)In that case the Weber will be pretty agricultural, all noise and smell and the SU(s) easier to live with.If your budget and sensibilities will stretch to it , go for the Weber but as you are probably starting a long and expensive learning curve it might be better to start with the SU and then upgrade to the Weber at the next development step.

I run a weber 45 in my mini to and from sprints no problem. The only thing is that you must have the bulck head moded to fit the weber (you can get inlet manifolds to fit a weber with no mods but they flow badly). The SUs will fit with no mods. I have also found SU tend to nead more looking after then my weber.
