Yeah as hinted the location isn't really the most exciting; dont like the drain cover. I would have left the spoiler down for no.3 too.... Flash gives a little lift to otherwise plain shots - 2xSB800? The rig shot seems to have a pinkish hue? WB slightly off? Why not shoot in the other direction to lose the sun into camera?

I think the colour of the rig shot is quite pleasing, and the sun adds to the photo IMO.

My sentiments exactly. The strange hue on the rig shots is caused by the cheapo ND filters that I'm using. I had corrected the WB in PS but it does still seem a tad 'off'. The rig was rushed and I hadn't taken into account the sun, couldn't shoot otherside as it was houses....d'oh.

The flashes are 2 Vivitar 285's.

Thanks for the valuable feedback,. much appreciated!

Nice pictures Dean, thanks for sharing. Is the light flare in the first one fake or real?

A quick question if you don't mind - what are you using to fire the Vivitar 285 flashes of camera? I've been looking at them for a while, price wise they look hard to beat assuming there is a reliable way to fire them remotely.

Hey Dobbo, thanks!

The flare in the headlights is real, I can only get this to work with xenons, wide apperture and a slow shutter!

I'm using Pocket Wizards to fire the flashes, they've been very reliable up to now! I have a ghetto batttery set-up for the flashes also, I can go day's without having to recharge batteries biggrin

Thanks for the info Dean. Since Pocket wizards and two vivitar flashes would run to the same price as two extra SB600s or probably even SB800s, it's really a false economy for me to go that route.
