Unfortunately I had to get rid of my Noble - however I now have a nice FRP to play with... it handles fantastically and is a great little car.

However it needs a touch more torque. It's already tuned N/A style - it's power is delivered high already (max @ 7000) and I'm not keen on further tuning requiring max @ 8.5k with all the engine rebuilds this entails.

From what I know, the Puma engine @ 1.7 is already bored out close to maximum, so capacity enlargements aren't really an option.

Does anyone know about forced induction options for this engine?? I want reliable, repeatable power (i.e. no NOS, don't want to be reliant on a bottle of gas) ??

Van Aken and Severn Valley Motorsport have both done a turbo conversion for the Puma. I don't know of any supercharger conversion however.

I've seen both of those - perhaps I'll give them a call. The Racing Puma has a different version of the 1.7 zetec engine - I thought it was only cams and induction - not sure if this would make it a complete re-engineering job to fit the turbo...
