The best way I have found is to have a mate uae a hammer and punch in the centre of the column, as he strkes, you pull hard with both hands and it shouldn break free.

You can hire a hub puller, that will get the job done.

Or alternatively try rocking the wheel from side whilst pulling at the same time, make sure you leave the nut on the last couple of threads otherwise you can end up with a MOMO stamp on you forehead.

Its a vauxhall steering hub puller you want. Halfrauds used to sell them, I got a draper one from my local Indie autospares.
Otherwise find a local garage with one and get it loosened and just nip the nut back up to drive home.

Hi BlueBottle, the kit i've bought off Sealey[9 piece]supposed to cover vauxhalls, fords and chryslers. But when you remove the horn button on the momo[TVR]wheel theres nowhere for the supplied bolts to screw into, just two rectangle holes.Regards,Dave.

Yep two half moon slots at the base of the boss. the Drapor puller has two long thin legs with a boot on the end that you push thru the slots and turn to lock then extract with the centre screw on the steering column. I did have to modify mine asa it fouled the side of the boss.
If you want to borrow mine drop me a pm with address mate. smile
