I'm looking for a battery conditioner, preferably one to plug into the cigar lighter so I don't have to faff about in the battery compartment.
Those I've found so far are Optimate, Accumate, Ctek and Airflow. Does it matter which model? Is one better than the other? Are there others I should consider?

I use the Accumate but don't use the cigarette lighter (did for about a month before it fell apart with over use). The accumate comes with a connection lead with a rubber cover cap that you can hard wire to the fusebox/battery terminals, then all you need to do is lean in the passenger window to plug in when you park up.

linky to lead

Hard wire in an Accumate

I think TVRCC were discounting them a while back - might still be doing so?

Cosseted, carpeted, heated garages with four post lifts don't count! Unfair advantage. wink

Accumate also.

Mite be wrong, but I think Optimate and Accumate are the same thing. Think one is aimed at bikes and the other cars...but not sure.
