is the Yorkshire air ambulance the same cahrity as the north east air ambulance?
Each region is set up as an independent charity. The Great North Air Ambulance is our local regiondave.a said:
good charity in my opinion, even though I have always said that it should be 100% government funded!
Agreed. PH started supporting this charity when the Yorkshire Air Ambulance saved the life of Richard Hammond after his rocket car accident. The Yorkshire region did very well out of PH support so I focused on the Great North region to spread things out more.final details will need to be arranged but as long as we cover the running costs (electricity, paper, printer cartriges, staff wages etc...) then we will be happy to give any funds raised after those costs to the charity we choose.
if for example we said £30 a car, 20 cars, thats £600. I can only see our costs reaching £100 so thats £500 for a charity, a good day out for the NEPH members, (we often have as much fun on these days as the people attanding) and publicity for the company. Would be good to keep people that attend to NEPH regulars so it can be classed as a NEPH event, any publicity for charity is good publicity.

I run NEMums which is a support forum for parents in the North East. We are not a charity, but we are also not-for-profit: currently everything comes out of my pocket. In addition to the forum, we meet up, allowing parents to make friends and have some 'grown-up' conversation. Some members find the website a lifeline, some like it for the chance to talk and share experiences with other mums, and others have found it invaluable in terms of support through miscarriages, ill health and the death of a child (Abigail, for those who read the gazette)
The air ambulances are a great cause, but if you are looking for something different, NEMums would be more than grateful
Enjoy your day, either way!!
