Afternoon

I'm sure this must be a standard TVR colour, but can anyone tell me what it's name is so I can order some more?

Pictures here

Also if anyone has a name of a good supplier, that would be handy.

Thanks for you help.

It's quite difficult to tell from the pictures on a PC, on mine it looks more like the Ford sunburst red than orange.

I drive past HMG paints in Manchester every morning, so perhaps I need to stop by and ask them if they can help.

Cheers anyway.

It could be a basic Ault & Wiborg red, but as John says, impossible to tell from a web photo.

So do we have any suggestions on how to find out what colour it is? When I got the car it had little paper work and no suggestion of paint colour.

looks about 10 different colours on my pc but if its 35 years old it will certainly have faded, red is the worst colour for fading. If you pass Marcel Guests everyday just call in and get it scanned sTeVeR

If you take a sample into HMG they will match the colour for you, I got a perfect match on a gelcoat colour for a kit car I built many moons ago

Hi Rob
The colour on your car is Rootes Carnival Red, it is the original colour, I sprayed it on 20 years ago. I have a 3000m which i am currently restoring which is also the same colour.
cheers Stuart
