Pre-Purchase Inspection?

Greetings,

I've just put a deposit down on a T350C (whoo-hoo!). Phoned James Agger who tells me he no longer carries out pre-purchase inspections, which is a bit carp really, imho.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a reliable, sturdy chap of unquestionable TVR expertise who offers such a pre-purchase service?

The car is in Northampton, I spoke to Kerridges who will do it, but I'd have to get the car to them which I'm 99% sure isn't going to be possible.

I have already had lengthy discussions with Zippy re; Mr. Ingleby... Does anyone know of anybody else?

Thought I remembered your name -
I presume with a deposit down its from a dealer? Therefore some comeback at least. Is the previous owner on here? May be worth a check to see if anyone here knows the car.
Silverstone Performance are not far from Northampton, neither is Steve Gugliemi.
When/where was the last service done. If fairly recent and also regular at the last garage then give them a bell for more info on car.

Hiya Zippee, how's tricks? Yup, the car is from a dealer, full service history from Kerridges, last serviced 600 miles ago. Spoke to them already, it used to be their demonstrator so they know the car very well. It comes with a stack of receipts but nothing to indicate an engine rebuild. As it's a 2003 model, I'm a little concerned which is why I really want to have it properly checked out. I'll try the two places you suggested. Thank you once again.

give the guys at Track V Road a call, I know Rich Pogson has mentioned the services of one of his guys for independant inspections!

Ive had some lengthy conversations with various TVR owners about Rob Ingleby too

All sorted now, I'm booked in to Silverstone Performance on the 29th. Thanks again Zippee, you are rapidly becoming my TVR guru Some more beer tokens for you methinks...
