You'd pay £14,223 for a boat that size at Salterns which is just about the most expensive south coast marina IME. My local marina is East Cowes and your boat there would be £6570 per annum which is a bit more sensible. Mine is £2920 a year.

Good point about Salterns, but i guess that's the premium you pay for keeping your boat next to Sandbanks.

42 ft maxum , cobbs quay in poole is under 6k,port solent where it is at mo is over 8k,i got a winter deal for £1200 for 6months from october...
= result.

I am about to move as not going to pay their summer rates.
Beaulieu river on pontoon not bankside, is around 4k, Thames MDL is around 3800.
All on annual berth.
Northern marinas are generally cheaper and some solent marinas are more that 8k for 42ft.Brighton in also good value.
Cheapest on the hard in southampton is around £2-250 per month. Hope that helps.

My dad pays about £90 a year for his mooring, and a similar amount to layup for the winter. Hauling in and out is usually £5 a time. That's for a 27 foot yacht.
