Tripod Question
Discussion
Okay,
I kinda get the opinion until i'm a better photographer I should really get a tripod for my DSLR..
However, having just bought the thing, I'm loathe to keep spending more and more money... so would this tripod be suitable for my Nikon?

I accept its probably not perfect, but considering i'll be taking it on holiday and it'll get bashed around i dont want to spend a fortune - plus it has a spirit level which should be good for an amateur?
I also noticed they had SD cards at a bargin - feeling a little ripped off at paying 30 quid for a 4G HC card now! (but might get another 4G at that price..)

IMO it's probably fine for occasional use and travelling about with. It won't be the sturdiest thing in the world but probably adequate in most instances. Just remember to use the timer function on the camera when you take a shot (assuming your subject isn't moving) to guarantee the tripod has stopped wobbling when the shutter goes.
What camera are you using? To be honest, if I were you I'd hang on a bit and save up to buy a sturdier one. I bought a Manfrotto for my D70s (which I had at the time), but then I bought a cheapish, lightweight one to take on hols with me and I found myself worrying all the time about it falling over. I didn't find the lightweight tripod helped much - I was constantly hanging on to the camera "just in case", which rather negated the point of a tripod in the first place!
But like I say - depends on the camera, really.
