Compact Recommendations

Now that I've got my first DSLR, I feel like getting a decent compact for the times I don't want to carry or risk damaging the SLR. This will probably mainly be pictures in bars and clubs.

So what would you suggest for ~£100. I'd like to keep some manual controls so I can improve my skils rather than totally point and shoot. Small enough to fit in a pocket.

As I've just been interested in buying a new camera recently Mike, I've bought quite a few camera mags and looked at many review sites.

The Canon A560 seems to come highly recommended but I still don't know much about cameras so it might be bad advice.......still, if nothing else it has bumped your post....
